16’ Kona Four
Lisa
I have never ridden a bike that was
more than a comfort bike. All the features and terminology was intimidating when
I first got my Kona Four Lisa. Spending time in the parking lot I familiarized
myself with braking and shifting. I quickly gained confidence to enter the
trails. The Four Lisa has proven to be a great way to explore trails in Mt. Hood
and Whistler.
The Hayes
stroker was the first hydraulic disc brake I had used and proved to be very
effective. They gave me confidence with the ability to slow me to a safe
cornering speed or to avoid obstacles.
The RockShox Dart 2 and RockShock
Ario2.2 rear shock provided the suspension that smoothed out ride in the
rough rocks and bumps of the trails.
The lock out is quick and easy to use
and made climbing hills stable. A quick half turn off the knob, and I was
off.
The shimano dreailers were consistent and predictable and made
shifting while climbing and descending
easy.
After getting comfortable on the bike on trails, my
adventure became even more exciting on the green and some blue runs of whistlers
bike park. Every time I get on my bike I get scared in a good
way!
